FAQ

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions, from questions about me, to orders and caring for your new artwork.

Why do you paint?

Great question! The short answer is that it gives me focus, I find it relaxing and ultimately, it makes me happy. And I hope I can spread a little of that happiness around by sharing my work with you.

What inspires your paintings?

I love using vivid colours in my paintings, and the perfect subjects for that are flowers and food, so it’s not surprising most of my paintings are one or the other! I occasionally paint other subjects, and that might be down to the cuteness or quirkiness factor (I’m a sucker for both!) or because I want to paint something that reflects my mood or my hopes.

Do you accept commissions?

Sorry, I’m not currently accepting commissions.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, orders can only be sent within the UK. But watch this space!

When will I receive my order?

Please allow up to 8 working days for your order to be processed, packed and dispatched. You’ll receive an email notification once your order has been dispatched.

All prints will be sent using the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service which should take 2-3 business days to arrive from the day of dispatch.

All paintings will be sent using a parcel service, details of which will be provided via email once the service has been booked.

How do I look after my new painting?

Avoid displaying your painting in direct sunlight, which can lead to fading and damage to pigments. Similarly, you should also avoid displaying your painting in environments subject to extreme changes in temperature or humidity, which could cause warping, cracking or mould growth. This means you should avoid displaying the painting in areas of high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens, and keep it away from sources of direct heat.

You should gently dust the painting with a soft, clean brush or a microfibre cloth regularly to keep it clean without causing any damage. However, avoid using chemicals, such as household cleaners, solvents or aerosols, on or near the painting. If you do need to clean the painting, please use a damp cloth and test an inconspicuous area first to avoid causing damage.

You may wish to frame your painting. If you wish to display it behind glass, the glass should not touch the surface of the painting. Please be aware that glazing can trap moisture and lead to your painting being damaged.

How do I look after my new art print?

Avoid displaying your print in direct sunlight as strong UV rays can fade the print over time. Similarly, you should avoid displaying it in a very moist environment such as a bathroom or kitchen as this may cause damage to the print. Somewhere such as a living room, bedroom, office or hallway should be ideal.

What is your returns / refunds policy?

Great care and attention is taken to ensure that each piece of artwork is packaged securely before being dispatched. In the unlikely event that you receive an artwork that has been damaged in transit, please contact me by email at help@arensiaarts.co.uk on receipt. Please include a photograph of the damaged article.

Should the artwork(s) not be as you expect you have 14 days in which to contact me by e-mail at help@arensiaarts.co.uk to request to return the item(s) and receive a refund. To be eligible for a refund, the artwork(s) must be unused and in the same condition that you received them. The artwork(s) must also be returned in the original packaging or equivalent. Once the return has been agreed, you will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the item(s).

Once your return is received and inspected, you will be sent an email notification confirming the receipt of your returned item(s). You will also be notified of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 14 days.
